Michael C. Gaskin (Chairman) has been with the firm for over 40 years the majority of which was spent in his role as a managing director, principal wax technician and moulder. Following the enlargement of our wax/moulding team, Michael now works part-time (Tuesday to Thursday). In his absence Philip Freiensener and Bill Hayter can be contacted with everyday business matters including quotations, estimates and regular customer service. Click here to view. |

Philip R. Freiensener – (Director) joined the Foundry 19 years ago. Philip is a highly experienced and accomplished bronze craftsman, utilising the majority of his skill in our bronze finishing department. Over the last two years, Philip has organised the changeover from the traditional investment/lost wax to the ceramic shell casting method. He has also been building up our new team, training the new members in all aspects of casting, finishing and patination. He can be contacted for advice regarding any aspect of bronze casting. |

Bill F.H. Hayter (Director) has been with the Foundry 40 or so years. He is a highly skilled and experienced bronze craftsman, but whose expertise encompasses other areas of casting process such as wax work and moulding. Over the last couple of years or so Bill has been passing on his skill and experience to the new members of our expanding team. Paul van Veen joined the firm in 1998 principally as a bronze technician. He has a BA (Hons) 3-D Design from Middlesex University. Over the last few years, he has been gaining experience in almost all areas of casting process from the details of the ceramic shell casting process to bronze finishing and now to wax work. With his practical skill and creative mind Paul is also regarded as our “trouble shooter”, able to quickly solve problems which could be a disruption to our operations. Paul also does his own sculpture and painting work. |

Matthew T.T. Borthwick joined the Art Bronze Foundry in 1999 as a bronze/metal technician. Since then, he has been working closely with Philip and steadily developing and improving his metal finishing and patinating technique. As a result of his hard work, talent and dedication Matt now produces good quality bronze sculpture and patinas of a high standard. Matt has a degree in Silver Casting and Metalwork from Camberwell College of Arts. Matt also does his own sculpture. Click here to view. |
